AI Assistant

Every Stardraw Cloud application includes a built-in AI assistant. Your Users open a chat panel and ask for what they need in plain language — the assistant understands the project they are working in and can carry out the work for them.

It knows your project

The assistant is aware of the signed-in User and the Project they have open, so requests like “list the cables in this project” or “connect the output of the amplifier to the input of the speaker” are answered in context — no IDs to copy or menus to hunt through.

It takes action, not just answers

The assistant doesn’t only describe what to do — it does it. It can inspect a Project’s cabling and create new cables between product ports on your behalf, confirming each change as it goes. It works in a loop: it reads your data, performs the requested actions, checks the result, and reports back.

Secure and private to your application

The assistant runs through your own application’s API. Every request is authenticated and obeys the same Roles and permissions as the rest of Stardraw Cloud — a User can never do through the assistant anything they couldn’t do by hand. An application administrator decides whether the assistant is enabled and which tools it may use.

For connecting external AI clients such as Claude to your application via the Model Context Protocol, see the Integration page.
